Steps to onboarding
The following table provides more detailed steps to onboard to XP:
| Step | Details | Who | Best practices and links |
| 1a | Set up tag data | ||
|
Response tag: Our Sales team sends a response pixel/tag via email, which you must place on all pages of the advertiser’s website. You can also use the Innovid container tag. You can track different web URLs as long as the same web pixel is implemented. Note:
Actions/KPIs/Conversions: Optionally, set up action tags. Ensure you know precisely what you want to track and discuss with your Innovid representative.

Aim to complete implementing the tag within two weeks of receiving it. See our XP Quick Tagging Guide for help with this. |
|
| 1b | Integrate app data | ||
|
You can optionally integrate InnovidXP with an app traffic analysis solution. Some of the integrations include:
|
Client | The various app analytics integrations are listed in the App Integrations section.
| 1c | Check that your tracker works | ||
| After implementing tags, complete the steps to check that your XP tracker is working correctly. | Client |
Do this at least a week before your campaign goes live. Follow the steps in Checking your InnovidXP Web Tracker. |
|
| 2 | Impressions pixels | ||
| Through our pixels, we measure CTV/OTT performance across ad-supported streaming services, across various screens including smart TVs, mobile devices, and laptops. Results are refreshed daily. |

See InnovidXP Impression Pixel: Publisher Handbook for more information.
| 3 | Upload spot log files | ||
|
You provide spot logs, which either you or your agency will upload. Required fields include the date, time, the channel on which the spots air, and the cost of impressions. Optional: Upload phone log files |
Client |
Try to include as much data in the logs as possible to ensure your attribution is as accurate and meaningful as possible. For example, if program-level detail and creative are included in your spot log file, you will be able to split the data by those dimensions in your analysis. See Uploading Spot Files for detailed instructions. See InnovidXP FAQs: Spots and Spot Files for more information about upload errors |
|
| 4 | Set up the platform | ||
| Innovid will set up your XP platform. Once the response and action tags have been in place for 24 hours, Innovid may also confirm response volumes with you. | Innovid | Wait at least 24 hours before confirming volumes. | |
| 5 | Check data quality | ||
| Attribution will run once the first week’s logs are uploaded. The Innovid team will check the quality of the results. | Innovid |
The first set of results is QA’d after onboarding. This check ensures that your results have the Innovid stamp of approval, allowing you to optimize your next campaign. See Validating Your Data for more information. |
|
| 6 | Analyze and optimize your data | ||
| You are ready to analyze your data and make optimization decisions for your next campaign. | Client | See Getting Started: Analyzing the Data for more information. | |
