Supported Channels for Linear Measurement

Purpose

This article links to a list of the supported Inscape networks and channels, which are currently mapped to the InnovidXP platform for linear measurement. This list is updated regularly.

Overview

Inscape/Vizio provides TV viewership data from Vizio Smart TVs. The viewership data provides per-device TV viewership information that InnovidXP uses for Linear TV measurement.  Innovid maintains a list of supported Inscape content feed (US only) networks and local channels that are currently mapped to the XP platform for measurement. This list includes both Ingested and Attributed stations.

What is the difference between “Ingested” and “Attributed” stations?

  • Ingested Stations are those where Inscape monitors and fingerprints all the content that airs.
  • Attributed Stations are those where Inscape identifies content by matching schedule/program/station metadata to ingested programming. This is possible because most programming on this station is aired on another station that is ingested.
    • For example, if a TV in Des Moines is watching content whose fingerprints match those of a station Inscape ingests, they can assign the viewing to the local station that makes the most sense for that TV based on its location and TV schedule. This typically occurs when local network affiliates are airing national programming.
    • Another example is a station is “attributed” status only if Inscape can properly assign detections to national content like “Survivor” but not to the local news program that airs immediately after “Survivor”.
