Purpose
This article describes the benefits and steps to enable the ingestion of Amazon impressions for reach, frequency, and outcome measurement within InnovidXP.
Benefits of measuring Amazon with InnovidXP
InnovidXP receives impression-level data directly from Amazon DSP (ADSP) through a certified server-to-server (S2S) integration. This direct-from-source integration improves measurement reliability and expands measurable coverage by leveraging higher-fidelity campaign signals from ADSP. This change enables marketers to measure their Amazon video/CTV campaign performance (reach, frequency, outcomes) across ALL owned properties (Prime Video, Twitch, and Freevee) against other publishers in their media plan.
Using Innovid’s advanced identity methodology, InnovidXP can deduplicate measurement across Amazon and other publishers to provide a single and holistic view of:
- Deduplicated reach and frequency across publishers
- Shared overlap and unique reach across the full campaign
- Cross-publisher campaign performance within a unified measurement framework
- Improved business outcomes and attribution accuracy
Requirements
This is only available for:
- CTV and OLV channels
- US-based campaigns
Enabling the study setup in ADSP
If you are a managed service customer with Amazon, your Amazon representative (AE, AM, or POC) should be able to fill out the workflow on your behalf. Please provide them with the relevant campaign details, including your site URL and KPIs, if applicable.
If you are a self-service customer with Amazon, you can complete the study setup workflow in ADSP.
Please reach out to your Innovid measurement contact for further instructions, and be sure to notify Innovid of any changes to the campaign, including flight dates, new orders, and/or KPI changes.
Enabling Amazon DSP measurement
To enable Amazon DSP measurement within InnovidXP, a study setup must first be completed within ADSP. The study setup is required to ensure campaign data is properly transmitted to Innovid.
Once the study setup is approved, all creatives associated with the selected campaign orders are automatically included in the data logs that are shared with InnovidXP via Amazon’s server-to-server (S2S) integration.
Select the appropriate InnovidXP measurement option within Amazon DSP based on your reporting needs:
- Reach & Frequency only
- Outcomes only
- Reach & Frequency + Outcomes
For Innovid ad serving customers who will receive deduplicated results, supply the Innovid placement ID in the External ID field:
