Using the Creative Bridge API for Box

Purpose

This article describes the Creative Bridge API assigning Innovid links to Box assets. The API automatically pulls these assets into a campaign's asset library, eliminating the need to upload videos manually and, therefore, ensuring faster delivery of creative materials.

API process

To assign Innovid links to Box assets, you need to do the following:

  • Complete the Box Creatives tab within the Media Brief.
  • Validate the Box Share Link.

Step 1: Complete the Box Creatives tab within the Media Brief

IMPORTANT

The API's ability to process these creative assets depends on accurate information in the Box Creative Tab in the media brief. Any discrepancies in the tab, such as mismatched names or broken links, can cause the API to fail to fetch the intended creative.

  1. Enter the Creative Asset Name.
  2. Enter the Box Share Link.

    Folder access

Each folder needs to be given access to the following emails:

This helps with retrieving the assets and using the Campaign Submission Form. Before the API can be used, Innovid will run a test to confirm that we have access to the folders.

  3. Mark Yes in the New Creative column for any new creative assets that must be fetched. This triggers the API to process and retrieve the asset.
The API only processes rows marked Yes under New Creative. Failure to update this column accurately will result in skipped assets. The API operates solely on the information provided in the tab.
  4. Mark No in the Update Asset column to replace old or obsolete assets. Mark Yes for new assets that need to be swapped in.

Step 2: Validate the Box Share Link

  1. Ensure the Box Share Link is directly linked to the creative asset specified under the corresponding creative name.
Top tips
  • Open each link to confirm it leads to the correct file.
  • Avoid using generic folder links or outdated URLs.

Step 3: Submit

  1. Submit the completed Media Brief in the Campaign Submission Form. The API fetches the assets, and they will appear in Campaign Creatives.

Step 4: QA monitoring

Within Campaign Creatives, the assets will have their status (pass or fail) visible.

  • Review whether each creative asset has passed or failed QA.
  • Address any failures promptly by revising and resubmitting the creative through the abovementioned process.

Note: While our team monitors creative submissions during processing, you play a critical role in catching and addressing issues early. Regularly check Campaign Creatives for updates on the status of submissions to ensure no delays in campaign readiness.
