Description: This article describes InnovidXP certification process. This certification ensures measurement quality control across inventory types and devices. The process comprises a functional and discrepancy test to ensure quality, that the pixel is firing correctly, and that reporting is as expected.
Note: The initial certification is a one-time process; however, if changes are made to the publisher ad server and/or macros, Innovid should be alerted to determine whether or not the changes will require undergoing recertification.
Why certification matters
InnovidXP publisher certification ensures quality control of attribution and measurement across platforms and devices. As an independent third-party measurement and attribution provider, we are deeply invested in ensuring the accuracy of data results on behalf of our clients.
Proactive publisher certification before the campaign launch can significantly reduce the number of data discrepancies and/or in-flight errors with the rendering of tags. Moreover, certification is a critical component of meeting industry-adopted Media Rating Council (MRC) standards.
Note: If we partner with a new ad server, we test to ensure all trackers (sometimes referred to as pixels) are firing correctly and reporting as expected.
Innovid works with a wide range of publishers with unique setups, so publishers are responsible for sharing information about ad server technology and macros.
We may have previously certified other publishers that use the same ad server, but this does not mean that certification can be skipped. We treat every certification as unique, and this means we require all relevant information for each.
Self-service certification portal
The Innovid Certification Portal is a self-service platform for publishers to request certification to run Innovid tags on live campaigns.
Format
Certification must be deployed separately for each publisher and DSP. These tags will be issued in a 1x1 format.
Steps for certification
Publishers or their representatives can submit certifications through the Innovid Certification Portal.
Step 1 Sign up

Modify & Replace Existing Pixel
- Selected if publishers need to change their pixel and replace it with an updated one.

If you use an ad server that is not yet certified, the support team will request that you run 1000 impressions and send Innovid a report to review whether the numbers we get on our end align and whether we are getting the correct values from the macros. If there are any discrepancies, the team will help troubleshoot. |
